AH! Before I forget, Dad, I've got some questions for you. Also, to answer your question, it took ten days for your letter to get to me. Ok, so when were you a missionary? What areas did you serve in? The Bishop in my Ward was a missionary in Fukuoka about the same time that you were. Did you by chance know a Saido Choro? That would be pretty cool.
Well, this past week was fairly interesting. Waterbury長老 left tuesday morning. But I didnt get my new companion until Friday morning. So what did I do, you ask? I went with a Japanese Elder to his area. A small town called Banshu-Akou. And let me emphasize the small part. Super inaka. Around the church and the missionary apartment wasn't bad, but as we rode out farther, it was just all fields, and a few houses. So I spent Tuesday-Friday morning there, with a short break on Tuesday night to come back to Kakogawa to teach Eikaiwa. Pretty exciting stuff.
Then on Friday, we went to 三ノ宮 (sannomiya) eki in Kobe. There was just a large gathering of missionaries, so I saw some people I knew and talked until my new companion, Hayward長老 came. We stayed there for a little bit, and then came back to Kakogawa and got back to work. I went over all of our investigators and what we had done for them. We made plans, and got to work. Its been pretty fun. He's way different from Waterbury長老, but he's still way awesome.
So, in 13 days, we have Mother's Day! Which means that our Yakusokusha is going to get baptized! :D Actually, today at 3, we're going to teach him. He's way cool. He came to church yesterday, and he's been reading the Book of Mormon and praying. I'm way excited for him.
I have to say that my favorite picture out of all those prom pictures was the one with Dad and his shotgun. Woohoo!
Yeah, Japan is pretty awesome. Things are definitely getting better! I'm excited to be a part of this work! Well, I'll keep working hard this week, and next week I'll have a ton of things to write to you! Keep up the good work at home. Love you all!
