Alma 29:9

I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some sould to repentance; and this is my joy.

Week 5

This past week has felt like forever. There are a couple of reasons for that. First off, Mattson Choro and I are no longer companions. :( He went home. He needed to work some stuff out before he's ready to serve again. I was really sad, and honestly it is a sad thing, but I also have nothing but respect for him. He did one of the bravest things I've seen anyone do. I'm so proud of him, and I know that he'll be back out here soon enough with a blazing testimony. I hope that he reads this blog.

So in relation to Mattson Choro leaving, I got a new companion and a new room. Now my companion is Webber Choro. It's interesting, because he's super pro at Japanese, so sometimes during lessons, he can just take off by himself and leave me in the dust, but we've talked to each other about that. But he's a great missionary with a love for the work. I think that this companionship has very good potential. My roommates are Wood Choro and Malcolm Choro, just so you know.

Also, my senpai (The class above us) left on Monday. Next week, 32 new missionaries enter our branch, and we'll be the senpai. I'm not sure if I'll be able to set a great example for them like my Senpai set for us Kohai (Lower class). I really need to like, dedicate all of my focus, attention, and power to becoming the best missionary that I can be.

I'm glad you got my letters, sisters. Meghan wrote me a dear elder and told me what you all got for Christmas. She said that everyone was learning Japanese? Send me some stuff so that I can see your awesome skills! These computers in the laundry room don't let me turn the keyboard into Japanese. I could type it out in Romaji, but it just doesn't look as cool. Maybe next week I'll try and send stuff in Japanese.

Apparently I caused some confusion among my friends last week. They thought that by the wording of one of my sentences that I had seen Bean. Well, that's not true, but now that I know the power that I have through this blog, maybe I'll mess with them some more. At least, that's what I told Michael when I saw him the other day.

Speaking of seeing friends randomly again, guess who I saw? Izak! He left to Denver before Christmas, but now he's back! It was quite the surprise. But now he's actually headed out to Mexico, so I wish him all the best.

So, Mike, Camille, Josh, Lilly, and Lucas keep writing me letters. But I keep not having enough time to write them back!!! D: I feel bad! I'll try to do that tonight. Also, I need to send Riley her letter. Its hard to find time sometimes though.

Man, the days in the MTC just feel so repetitive sometimes. I just want to be in Japan already. But at the same time, I'm scared to death because I can barely speak Japanese. I'm working hard though. I know that after I do my best, the Lord will help me get the rest of the way.

One thing that's been going on today is that there is some sort of flu epidemic here. I guess like 25% of the missionaries here are sick? At least, that's what I heard. The devotional tonight (We have one every tuesday) is just going to be broadcast into our classrooms so that we don't all have to be exposed to anyone. Sick missionaries are allowed to stay by themselves in their rooms. They say it’s the flu, but my theory is that the Zombie Apocalypse has happened on the outside world, and they just don't want to spread it here. They don't want to tell us because it would cause mass panic. So what do you think? If it's not true, it’s just funny. But if it is true, stay strong, find good shelter, and don't forget: double tap.

So, if it really is the zombie apocalypse, you probably don't have much time to read this. And even if it's not, I don't have much more time to write it. I'm still partying here in the MTC. One idea I just had. If more people just want to straight up get these emails, I could send them to more people at once than just one. Let me know.

So anyway, that's whats going on here in the MTC. Nihongo o manande, Seiten o yonde, takusan inotte... pretty much just normal missionary stuff. There's some Japanese for you. Anyway, probably time to wrap this up. Have a good week, stay safe, and don't forget to write me!

Oh, and don't worry about me. If there is a zombie attack, I've got a new dart gun to test out. :D :D :D :D :) :) :) :) <(O_o)> (Weird smiley with arms) /(^_^)/ \(^o^)\ (High five) (Smiley face attack for Lauren. Do these make their way onto the blog?)
